Howdy there! Chloe is a portly Miniature Pinscher who loves people, other dogs, tennis
balls and squirming in freshly cut grass. Chloe has had a rough start in her young life as
unfortunately some children riding bicycles in a neighborhood by SeaWorld witnessed someone
throwing her out of a moving vehicle to dump her. Through a university alumni connection,
Chloe has been cared for and fostered by a military family here in Castroville. According to the
excellent veterinary professionals at Babcock Hills Veterinary Hospital, Chloe’s hip was
dislocated, and she experienced a minor traumatic brain injury (TBI) as a result from being
thrown out of the vehicle. Her quality of life will remain pleasant if her forever home remains
compliant with her prescribed low-cost medication and food. Chloe is loving with her existing
foster family but might be a little nervous at first meeting new people; however, she warms up
incredibly quickly as soon as she sees everyone else getting pets. Chloe is a sweet, lovable
cuddle bug that would benefit from a person that needs an attentive companion.
Fun Facts about Chloe:
If you’re watching TV, she’ll come up to you and nudge you to scratch her body with your foot.
She understands the following phrases very well:
“Are you hungry?” (Food time. Small doses of Miralax and prescribed laxative are added to her daily food to assist with her bowel movements as her hips are too narrow as a result from her previous injury/abuse.)
“Do you need to go potty?”; “Let’s go outside!” (She’s potty trained and will shake her collar or will whine if she needs to go outside)
“Let’s get in your box.” (Chloe is crate trained and prefers to sleep in her enclosed crate at night)
“Do you want to go for a ride?” (Chloe has a car seat carrier and enjoys car rides)
Her favorite snacks are baby carrots, small pieces of apple and dental chews.
Chloe looks like she’s partaking in deep transcendental meditation when she’s staring off into space, but her pupils are permanently dilated due to her TBI. If you enjoy meditation, yoga, or the Jamaican reggae band Bob Marley and the Wailers, she’s your gal.
She loves to dress up. When adopted, she’ll come packed with a colorful wardrobe.
Due to her previous yet healed hip jury, she’s not training for any marathons for anytime soon. Chloe is more of a leisurely stroll around the block kind of gal.
